We are thrilled to invite you to our second FREE “Concert, Cuppa & Cake,” as part of the collaboration between Blaenau Gwent Libraries and Thriving Communities. Featuring the brilliant duo Omega 2, this concert takes place on 20th March, 2024 between 1:30pm and 2:45pm at Ebbw Vale Library. This event has been kindly funded by the Reading Agencies. This is a Dementia Friendly concert.
This is a very talented duo comprising of Jane Williams and Pete Mathison. Jane is a very talented musician who tours with Wild Willy Barratt of Ottway and Barratt fame and Pete Mathison is a fantastic guitarist who played with Ray Davies and the Kinks for a few years, even when they played the Sunday afternoon Glastonbury Legend spot.
Jane and Pete don’t play to backing tracks, they rely solely on the power and musicality of their beautiful, harmonious voices and instruments (guitar and ukelele).
Here’s a sample track that Jane sings taken from Facebook.

“Concert, Cuppa & Cake” promises an afternoon filled with uplifting, fabulous music and delightful connections. Come together with friends, family, and fellow music enthusiasts for an unforgettable afternoon of entertainment and camaraderie. Reserve your spot today, and say goodbye to the winter blues!
