Happy Wanderers meet up every Wednesday for a walk and a café stop. It’s a very sociable group and we love to warmly welcome new walkers to the group.
It’s not about getting from A to B. It’s about enjoying the surroundings, absorbing nature’s gifts, and revelling in joyful, positive company of like-minded others.
We have 12 different walks, 11 of which repeat on rotation every 12 weeks with 1 floater walk (which will vary every 12 weeks). This particular walk on 5th June features the floater walk which we’re trying out for the first time. The walk starts at 11.30am (half an hour later than our usual time to allow us to get there). Floater walks are a great way to encourage members to suggest new walks and try them out. This current walk is about 1.5 miles each way (3 miles in total with a café stop in the middle). Other walks are of varying lengths (some under an hour, others over an hour). So there’s lots of variety and interest and new areas to discover in different seasons.
PLEASE NOTE: If the weather is too wet or severe, the walk is cancelled and we move onto the next destination the follow week.
