Concert, Cuppa & Cake – February 2024

Join Thriving Communities (Hengoed Happiness & Wellbeing Group) for another delightful monthly Concert, Cuppa and Cake from 1:15pm to 2:45pm at Fleur de Lys Community Centre.

This month we welcome back Omega 2 (who played exactly a year ago for us). This is a very talented duo comprising of Jane Williams and Pete Mathison. Jane is a very talented musician who tours with Wild Willy Barratt of Ottway and Barratt fame and Pete Mathison is a fantastic guitarist who played with Ray Davies and the Kinks for a few years, even when they played the Sunday afternoon Glastonbury Legend spot.

Sally and Pete don’t play to backing tracks, they rely solely on the power and musicality of their beautiful, harmonious voices and instruments (guitar and ukelele).
