Celebrate Christmas Day with Us!
This Christmas, come together with friends, family, and neighbours at our Community Christmas Day Lunch and Festivities, held at Gilfach Bargoed Community Centre and generously supported by Bargoed Town Council.
Join us between 11am and 3pm for:
- A free 2-course Christmas dinner
- Festive games and activities
- A fun-filled Christmas-themed quiz
This event is free, but we kindly request a refundable £5 deposit to confirm your spot.
How to Get Involved:
- Book Your Place: Email hello@thrivingcommunities or call/message Mel on 07590 592902. A £5 holding fee is required which is then refundable on the day.

The Joy of Volunteering
It’s a wonderful uplifting experience to help out (a real opportunity to experience Helper’s High) so if you want to lend a helping hand in any way, let us know. Volunteers will be welcoming all arrivals, receiving donations, wrapping gifts, preparing and setting up, cooking and serving dinner and tidying away. Volunteers will need to turn up around 9am.
