That’s why the Spirit of Nature programme offers a variety of options to choose from, so you can pick and mix the activities that suit your interests and goals. Whether you prefer the high-intensity workout of Nordic Walking, the gentle movements of QiGong, the tranquility of meditation in nature, or the rejuvenating effects of Shinrin yoku, we’ve got you covered. Our programme is designed to be flexible and adaptable, so you can create your own unique experience in nature.
Benefits of the Spirit of Nature Programme
Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking is an excellent way to burn off calories and engage your musculoskeletal system. In fact, studies show that Nordic Walking burns off 47% more calories than normal walking and uses up to 90% of your musculoskeletal system (which is more than swimming or running). It’s a low-impact exercise that’s kind on the joints and is perfect for all fitness levels. Our expert instructors, Mel & Esther, will guide you through the proper techniques to ensure you get the most out of your workout.
QiGong
QiGong is a traditional Chinese practice that focuses on the flow of energy in the body. It’s known for its numerous health benefits, including improved circulation, reduced stress and anxiety, and increased flexibility and balance. Our QiGong sessions will help you release tension, improve your breathing, and cultivate a deep sense of relaxation and inner peace.
Meditation in Nature
Meditation in nature is a powerful tool for reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and concentration, and promoting overall wellbeing. Our meditation sessions will take place in serene outdoor settings, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and let go of any distractions.
Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing)
Shinrin yoku, also known as Forest Bathing, is a practice that involves spending time in a forest and immersing yourself in its atmosphere. It’s been shown to have numerous health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved immune function, and enhanced mood and energy levels. Our Shinrin yoku sessions will allow you to connect with nature on a deeper level, and experience the restorative power of the beautiful South Wales valleys woodlands and forests.
